2022 Petillant-Naturel of Riesling

Have you ever pulled a couple of slices of home made apple pie filling out of the shell before putting the crust on top? This wine tastes like that to me. Bruised golden apple, lemon juice, and a savory floral impression, like marigolds. A year of bottle aging leads to a creamy, lees-ey characters, hinting at biscuits or scone. Great acidity, plenty of fizz, you might mistake this for champagne. Enjoy with shrimp scampi or oysters on the half.
